Outdoor Taps and a Kinked Flexi Hose Replaced at a North Brisbane Townhouse
A homeowner in Brisbane’s north needed help with a leaking outdoor hose tap at their established two-storey townhouse.
While checking the plumbing around the three-bedroom home, we also found a badly kinked flexi hose beside the toilet. The sharp bend was placing strain on one section of the hose.
As part of the general plumbing work, we replaced both outdoor hose taps with new quarter-turn taps and installed a new 450 mm toilet flexi hose. The other visible hoses showed no rust. We then turned the water back on and tested the new connections for leaks.
If the tap had kept leaking, it could have continued wasting water. If the kinked hose had weakened, water may have spread across the bathroom floor before the homeowner noticed it.

50L Electric Hot Water System Replaced at a South Brisbane Apartment
An older electric hot water system needed to be replaced at this one-bedroom apartment in Brisbane’s south. The homeowner needed a new unit installed in the same compact space.
We isolated the services, drained and removed the old grey Rheem system, then installed a new 50L electric hot water system.
The replacement work included connecting the water lines and valves, having the hard-wired unit connected by a licensed electrician, and filling and commissioning the new system.
This gave the homeowner a newly installed hot water system. If the old unit had failed completely, the apartment could have been left without hot water for showering, washing and cleaning.

Blocked Sewer Drain Cleared at a Morningside Home
A homeowner in Morningside needed help with a blocked sewer drain that was stopping wastewater from moving through the pipe properly.
We used a CCTV drain camera to inspect the sewer line and view the obstruction inside the pipe. Specialist locating equipment was then used to pinpoint the position of the drain problem beneath the property.
The blocked drain work involved using a high-pressure jet rod to clear the obstruction and help restore flow through the sewer drain. This allowed the drain to carry wastewater away from the home again.
If the blockage had remained, wastewater could have backed up through the home’s plumbing and caused an unhygienic overflow.
Specialist locating equipment was used to pinpoint the position and depth of the drain problem beneath the Morningside property.
The CCTV drain camera showed an obstruction inside the blocked sewer line.
